Why should I rent
from FunInTheSun Homes?
We are the owner's of the King Louie's Palace, Dory's Lakeside Reef and Goofy's Getaway and we
have set higher standards than what you find through properties normally managed by a Tour/Management Company. Our homes have many extras and upgrades.
The value is outstanding –
compare us to a motel in price and privacy. As you may know, the
privacy of staying in “your own” home is wonderful compared to a
single motel room.
We offer VALUE and SERVICE. We have a small family operated management company from Britian living in Florida that takes care of our homes.
They are a 10 minutes drive away from King Louie's Palace, Dory's Lakeside Reef and Goofy's Getaway and will
personally handle any issues that arise.
Our properties are fully
licensed and inspected by the State of Florida Hotel/Motel Industry
and EXCEED the standards that all hotels and motels must
meet.
How do I make a reservation?
The easiest way is to select the
reservation
page, fill in the blanks and let us do the
rest.

How do I
pay for my rental home?
A non-refundable deposit of $300.00 or 20% (whichever is greater) per booking is required to reserve King Louie's Palace,
Dory's Lakeside Reef and Goofy's Getaway. The deposit will be applied to the total rental cost with the balance due 8 weeks prior to the arrival date.
If a booking is made within 8 weeks of the arrival date, full payment is due.
We accept payments by Check or Cashiers Check drawn from a US Bank, Money Order, Visa, Mastercard or PayPal. FunInTheSunHomes will absorb all Credit Card fees
for payments of deposit only. When paying in full or final balance, all Credit Card and PayPal Transactions will incur a 4% merchant service charge. This
charge can be avoided by paying by Check, Cashiers Check or Money Order. Final Payments utilizing multiple cards will incur a $25.00 charge per Transaction.
Credit card numbers are used only for payment processing and are not retained for marketing purposes. The credit card charges will be through FunInTheSun Vacation Homes.
Where do I check
in?
You check-in directly at the home. Once the owners receive full payment for your reservation, the guests will be e-mailed a welcome packet
that includes receipt, travel directions and lock box instructions to the home. The guest will be e-mailed the new lock box combination no later than one week
prior to your arrival.
What if I have to
cancel?
Cancellation policy: Reservation Deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel less than 60 days prior to arrival, there is no refund. The monies
may be applied to a future booking if the owners are able to re-rent the home for the time frame of the original booking. A second cancellation will result
in a forfeit of all monies. We recommend that you take out adequate Travel Insurance for all members of your party.
What do we do if we have a late flight?.
King Louie's Palace, Dory's Lakeside Reef and Goofy's Getaway are equipped with key safes. When you arrive you can go directly to your vacation home.
You do not have to go to a separate location for check in.
What do we do if we have problems while at the home?.
We have a small family operated management company from Britian living in Florida that takes care of our homes.
They are a 10 minutes drive away from King Louie's Palace, Dory's Lakeside Reef and Goofy's Getaway and will
personally handle any issues that arise.They are on call 24 hours should an emergency arise.
How many people can your
homes accommodate?
Florida law puts strict limits
on the number of occupants permitted to stay overnight in vacation homes. These
are:
5 bedroom home: 12 persons
6 bedroom home: 14 persons
7 bedroom home: 16 persons
What type of phone system is available at the home?
Each home has at least two telephones for outgoing as well as incoming calls. Local calls, Long Distance (US and Canada), emergency and select 800 numbers are free.
What is provided in the home?
King Louie's Palace, Dory's Lakeside Reef and Goofy's Getaway are EXECUTIVE
homes. The EXECUTIVE homes have all the extra amenities included at
no additional charge . There are Vacation Homes and there are VACATION HOMES.... All linens, towels and washcloths are provided. Fully equipped kitchens with all the modern conveniences (microwave, dishwasher, disposal, refrigerator with icemaker, etc.), dishes, cookware, cutlery, coffee maker, blender, toaster. They have washer and dryers, ironing boards, vacuum cleaners and a hair dryers. Our homes have Game Rooms, High Speed Wireless Internet and Free Long Distance (US and Canada).
Is there anything not provided?
The initial setup includes –
toilet tissue in each bathroom, paper towels, a trash can liner, and
small bars of soap for the baths.
You will need to bring your
clothes – and if you decide you don’t want to do this – there are
many areas where you can shop and get the clothes you
need!!!!
Where is the best place to…….?.
Our guests have all kinds of
questions and special requests. We welcome them. What is it you
would like to know? Where to golf? Where to fish? Where is the
nearest church? Whatever you need, we will be more than happy to
help you find it. Just let us know
Here are some answers to
questions we have recently received:
Play Golf, Shop, Restaurants, Food
Markets, Babysitting Services?
- There are over 50 nearby golf
courses for you to choose from. A detail list is provided in each
home.
- Shopping at Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores, the Florida Mall, the Mall at Millenia, and Beltz Outlets are less than 15 minutes away. Downtown Disney is 10 minutes from
our homes and there are numerous other areas of shopping to interest you.
- There are many restaurants that are located within a 10 minutes drive are: Medieval Times, Bahama Breeze, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Olive Garden, Planet Hollywood, Black Angus, etc. and all of the major “Fast Food” chains.
- There are several major Food Markets located within a 1 mile drive from our homes. An example includes WalMart Supercenter and Target Supercenter and a Publix.
